The Nigerian Soy Excellence Center (SEC) was established with a vision to support agriculture as the foundation for a healthy and growing Nigeria with soy as a solution for Nigeria’s protein need. We aim to increase protein production and improve soybean consumption in Nigeria both in human and animals.
 
We offer programs for employees in poultry, agronomy, and aquaculture production, and feed mill management across the industry.
 
Our aim is to:
  • Promote a reliable, affordable, and high-quality soy and feed supply
  • See meaningful growth and development in high opportunity protein sectors
  • Prioritize key inefficiencies or challenges
  • Overcome operational agribusiness issues

Professor Eustace Iyayi is a Professor of Animal Nutrition with research interest in 3 broad areas: amino acid and phosphorus utilization in poultry and swine; feed enzymes and biotechnology. Recipient of several merits and academic fellowship awards including Israeli Government Mashav Award, The Austrian Ministry of Science & Technology Award, The 2003 Neville Clarke International Award, DAAD Research Scientist Fellowship, Giessen, Germany, Visiting Scientist (Research Participant Agreement) at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, AB Canada; and Fulbright Senior African Research Scholar, Purdue University, Indiana, USA. Former Head of Department of Animal Science and former Dean of Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Ibadan. Foundation member of Animal Science Association of Nigeria and foundation Council member of NIAS.

Prof. Garba Sharubutu is a specialist in Infectious Diseases of Livestock and veterinary legislation. He has been an active member of the Veterinary Council of Nigeria where he served as the National President, Veterinary Medical Council between 2005 and 2009.

Prof. Wasiu A. Afolabi

Prof. Wasiu A. Afolabi

Prof. Wasiu Afolabi is a Professor of Community Nutrition in the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, and current Dean of College of Food Science and Human Ecology, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.
 
He has over 30 years experience in development research including 25 years post-secondary teaching experience.
 
He was the Senior Programme Officer for Nutrition (2005 – 2009) on the COMPASS/USAID project. He was also the Nigeria Country Programme Coordinator for Infant and Young Child Nutrition Project (2009-2010).
 
He has served as consultant to many organizations including the World Bank, UNICEF, BASICS II, Helen Keller International (HKI), Programme for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH), Iodine Global Network and Food Basket Foundation International.

Dr. Momoh Yusuf Mustapha

Dr. Momoh Yusuf Mustapha

Dr. Momoh Mustapha is a highly skilled Aquaculture expert. He is an aquaculture specialist with hands-on experience spanning over twenty years in fish farming, animal husbandry, poultry farming, piggery, snailry, animal feed formulation/production, fish seedling production, research and extension services.
 
He is the Chief Executive Officer of Momoh Farms Limited, a leading fish farm in Rivers State and also the Managing Director of an NGO – Aqua-Green Integrated Farming Support Initiative (AGI) – based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He has outstanding records in the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) Aquaculture Projects between 2006 and 2012.

She is also the Managing Director of Agboola Farms, the biggest soya beans farm in Nigeria.

Dr. Onallo S. Akpa is the Director General of Poultry Association of Nigeria, and has greatly assisted to steer the affairs and administration of the Association in the last ten years.
 
He is a Livestock expert with majors in poultry production and farm management in addition to Post Graduate Studies in Development Administration and Management. Dr. Onallo Akpa has managed various farms and has consulted for many organizations and agricultural endeavors prior to him joining the Association. He is a certified Trainer and Management Consultant and also serves as the Chairman, FCDI Ltd, an Agribusiness and Development Consultancy company that has offices in Nigeria and other countries in Africa.
