    Gumboro disease, also known as infectious bursal disease (IBD), is a viral infection that affects young chickens. Signs include:

    Watery diarrhea: Birds may have soiled vent feathers

    Ruffled feathers: Birds may appear listless and have an unsteady gait

    Depression: Birds may be reluctant to move

    Picking at their vent: Birds may pick at their own vent

    Closed eyes: Birds may appear lethargic

    Rapid drop in feed and water consumption: Birds may be anorexic
