    Waste from plants and animals is used to create compost. Therefore, it decomposes quickly. In contrast to the excessive use of chemical fertilizers, which pollutes the soil and water, it does not contribute any hazardous compounds to the soil.

    Compost and fertilizer should not be used in place of each other. Using compost achieves certain results that fertilizer.
