Add microorganisms<div>Phosphorus- and potassium-solubilizing microorganisms can improve compost quality. Nitrogen-fixing and ammonia-oxidizing bacteria can also increase nitrogen content</div>
Here are some ways to increase the nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (NPK) in compost:<div>Add fertilizer</div><div>Small amounts of fertilizer can improve compost quality and support bacteria. However, too much nitrogen can unbalance the compost’s chemical composition, so you should also add carbon-rich materials. </div>
The nutrient value of farm compost can be increased by application of superphosphate or rock phosphate at 10 to 15 kg/t of raw material at the initial stage of filling the compost pit.
