Freedom from pain, injury, or disease: Chickens should receive prevention or rapid diagnosis and treatment.

Freedom to express normal behavior: Chickens should have enough space, proper facilities, and the company of other chickens.

Freedom from fear and distress: Chickens should be treated in a way that avoids mental suffering
