It is important to maintain adequate temperature for the birds depending on their ages. It enables them to feed well and grow adequately.

During heat stress, the birds flap their wings to dissipate heat. You know they cannot sweat. They waste their energy flapping their wings instead of converting this energy to growth and egg laying. They also do not spend enough time to feed. This is how heat stress affects their growth and productivity.

The research shows that heat stress significantly reduced feed intake and egg production and negatively affected egg quality, with changes observed in the hens’ blood profiles, such as altered levels of key electrolytes. The research shows that heat stress significantly reduced feed intake and egg production and negatively affected egg quality, with changes observed in the hens’ blood profiles, such as altered levels of key electrolytes.
