    From field experience preventing Gumboro disease, also known as Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD), in poultry involves several strategies to ensure the health and well-being of the birds. Here are some key steps that can be taken to prevent Gumboro disease:

    1. Vaccination: Implement a proper vaccination program recommended by poultry health professionals. Vaccinating chicks at the right time with effective vaccines can help build immunity against Gumboro disease. It is always recommended to do sero-monitoring to ascertain the exact age in days that the vaccine is to be carried out.

    2. Biosecurity Measures and hygiene: Maintain strict biosecurity measures to prevent the entry of the virus onto the farm. This includes controlling access to the farm, disinfecting equipment, and minimizing contact with other poultry or wild birds.
