There is no treatment for Newcastle disease and in many countries, infected and susceptible birds in the vicinity of an outbreak are culled to contain transmission of the disease. Prevention is accomplished through vaccination and strict biosecurity.

It does, but sometimes, even vaccines fail and something has to be done post vaccination

Technically, we don’t say “treat” when it comes to viral infections like ND. It’s more appropriate to use the word “manage”.

So, in order to manage Newcastle disease poultry, you need to study the signs and symptoms you can see and treat accordingly. In this wise, you are treating the secondary (opportunistic) bacterial infections, and giving the bird a better chance of survival. Giving multivitamins and iodine based solution at regulated doses can help too. Iodine has been found to limit the propagation of viruses in the bird’s system.
