For layer birds, key nutrients for sustained egg production include protein, calcium, phosphorus, and essential vitamins, especially Vitamin D and those in the B-complex group.

Random weekly weighing of birds and comparing average weight of the flocks in questioned with normal breeder average weight of the week.

Selection of birds under normal average weight from other flocks that met average normal weight and manage them separately.

If the flocks failed to meet normal average weight for the week, Floor, feeding and watering spaces can be increased.

Improved nutritional status of the birds not meeting the standard or normal average target weight.

For commercial broiler (Cobb) and Vencobb):

    · Day-of-Hatch – Standard as hatched target weight of 42g @ 32-34°C ambient temp, depending on RH%, parent age and cloaca temperature

    · 7 days – x 4.6 placement weight – Standard as hatched target weight of 193g @ 30°C ambient temperature guideline ( 193g std b.wt it many farmers are getting above 200g also depending on hatch weight)

    · 14 days – x 2.74 7-day weight – Standard as hatched target weight of 528g @ 27°C ambient temperature guideline

    · 21 days – x 1.93 14-day weight – Standard as hatched target weight of 1,018g @ 24°C ambient temperature guideline

    · 28 days – x 1.59 21-day weight – Standard as hatched target weight of 1,615g @ 21°C ambient temperature guideline

    · 35 days – x 1.41 28-day weight – Standard as hatched weight of 2,273g @ 21°C ambient temperature guideline

All these values can be achieved at EC House and in open house @32– 34 °C based on Hatch weight, environmental conditions and management ( Avg B.Wt @ 35 days ranges from 1.9 -2.1 kg)
