white dropping due to bacillary white diarrhea, IBD, fever, excess uric acid , kidney problem,

… green droppings due to off feed birds, ND, excess bile production, parasites, spirochetosis,.

…yellow due to fowl typhoid, liver problem,

… chocolate due to feed composition.

.. red due to.coccidiisis, clostridial enteritis.

orange due to subclinical coccidiosis

Loss of feathers in layer chicken can be due to a natural process or due to other reasons.

It could be due to any of the following reasons:

1. Natural feather loss – Moulting and broodiness

2. Managemental causes – Poor ventilation, too much lighting, overcrowding, stress, rough handling etc

3. Cannibalism – feather pecking (proper debeaking solves it)

4. Nutrition and health- Deficiency of protein, biotin, Mn, Zn, Vit B2, B12. Vit A etc

External parasites (mites, lice)

If the reason for feather fall is not moulting or broodiness, Identify the possible cause and treat accordingly.
