How can the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle be applied in a laboratory setting within the feed manufacturing industry to ensure accurate testing, consistent results, and continuous improvement in product quality? What are some specific challenges laboratory teams might face in each phase of the cycle, and how can they address them effectively?

The ideal DO level should be maintained above 5.0 mg/L (parts per million).
2- Why does DO level fluctuate during the day?
It fluctuates because phytoplankton, along with the cultured organisms, produce oxygen during the day (photosynthesis) but consume it at night (respiration).
3- What are the main causes of low DO?
The main causes are high biomass respiration at night, overfeeding, and the decomposition of a sudden algal crash.
4- What are the symptoms of low DO in ponds?
Fish and shrimp exhibit lethargy, reduced feeding, and gather at the surface (gasping) or near aerators.
5- How can DO be improved or maintained?
DO is primarily improved by running mechanical aerators to transfer oxygen from the air into the water.
6- What is the best aeration strategy?
The best strategy is to run aerators continuously from sunset to sunrise and strategically during the day for circulation.
7- When is DO most critical in the ponds?
DO is most critical in the early morning (just before sunrise) when it reaches its lowest point.
8- What is / are right timing/s of checking DO in the pond?
The most crucial timing is just before sunrise (to check the minimum level) and again in the mid-afternoon (to check the maximum level).
9- Does pro-biotic has any role in DO management in the pond?
Yes, probiotics help indirectly by reducing organic matter (sludge), which lowers the oxygen consumed by decomposition.

use of vitamins especially vit E and selenium combination after vaccination,
comfortable temperature and ventilation,
don’t use antibiotics till 24 hours before and after vaccination ,
no other change in the flock like shifting, change of litter for 24 hour minimum to reduce stress

At the end of every medications, flushing is highly recommended, hydrogen peroxide ie hydroxycare can be used too,
As part of preparation to receive new stock, hydroxycare is a must, this can equally be followed by isochlor or chlorine to further clean the line after hydrocare ie hydrogen peroxide preparation

For mechanical drives, consideration can be
given to utilizing complete gear-driven
assemblies rather than using a belt drive
between the motor and gear reducer.use of VFD
The LED light will provide illuminated
workspaces that cost less than traditional highpressure sodium or metal halide fixtures, plus
provide longer bulb life.Use of smart layout.
use of full automation system.
